The Miners Arms has fast acquired the reputation for the place to eat on Alston Moor with its selection of high quality cuisine. The standard menu offers a selection of house fayré including the very popular Italian wood fired pizzas.

There is also a selection of specials changed daily on the 'specials wall'. There is always a wide choice of starters and main dishes with plenty for vegetarians to choose from - oh and lets not forget the sweets and whipped ice cream. Children are catered for with their own specials menu.

There is a good selection of wines, house wines from the Oliver & Greg's range sold in both 187ml and 70cl bottles (those with a more expensive palette ask to visit the cellar).

As the Miners Arms is becoming more popular as a place to eat it is often fully booked so it is advisable to make a reservation in advance (particularly on Saturdays).
